Founded by Lewis and Darren, who spent years freelancing and collaborating on various jobs, Initiate Set Construction was born from their shared vision to bring a higher level of craftsmanship and creativity to the industry. With a passion for pushing the boundaries of event design, they decided to take their collective knowledge and skills to the next level.

Lewis, with his background in joinery, and Darren, who has been immersed in the industry since his apprenticeship days, both bring a keen eye for detail and a wealth of experience to every project. Their complementary skill sets cover every facet of event construction, and together with their close-knit team, Initiate has the expertise to tackle any challenge in the events world.

Billy has been a valued member of the Initiate team since our very first project!

His joinery skills are truly exceptional, with an unmatched attention to detail. Outside of work, Billy is a devoted family man and proud father to a wonderful daughter who occasionally stops by the workshop to make sure we're all staying safe.

As for his loyalty to West Ham, well, nobody’s perfect!

Luke is the guy who always knows how to lighten the mood, no matter how tough the day is.

After 16 hours on site, when the team is tired and worn out, he’s the one with a joke or a silly face that has everyone laughing and ready to push through. Luke’s work ethic is as strong as his sense of humor—he grafts hard and ensures no one gets bogged down by the weight of the day.

Every team needs someone to bring the fun, and Luke does it with the perfect balance of enthusiasm and dedication.
